GADSAD was set up in Gosport in 1978 to provide social and sporting activities for the disabled in the local community. We are a registered charity and have been fortunate, through a combination of fundraising, donations and support from Gosport Borough Council and Lottery funding, to have our own dedicated building in Elson, as well as a minibus.

We meet weekly at the GADSAD centre, where club members are able to take part in range of activities and games involving different skill levels. There’s something for everyone – and competition can be intense! We currently have some forty members, and are always ready to welcome new joiners.

GADSAD is run by a small band of dedicated volunteers, creating a friendly and supportive club environment for disabled people to get together to play a range of familiar sports (like darts or skittles), or try something new, whilst socialising with other people in similar situations. GADSAD activities provide members with opportunities to improve mobility, co-ordination and self-confidence – as well as to strike up new friendships.

GADSAD members are proud to have won many trophies over the years in a wide variety of sporting activities and we participate in sporting events and games held by other regional associations throughout the South of England.
